Benjamin Stocker

Ben Stocker is an artist who explores sound through instrument design, installations, production and composition. His philosophy is centred around sustainability, technological progression and innovation. These aspects drive him to create innovative works which explore human interaction and perception of sound. His interest in analog technology has long been an inspiration for his works, and this is reflected through his Exposure project Ardor. Ardor is a 5W valve amplifier made from recycled native New Zealand timber. This project asks audiences to critically reflect on the materials which we use to create musical equipment.
