Visual Essay: Urban Camouflage

Information

Considering the moment, I’m thinking that I am the only person who will get to appreciate this gorgeous detail. This is a meditative process for me in trying to find things that no one else might ever get to see. This experience has led me toward my current practice where I am able to immerse myself in the process of making artwork in a contemporary drawing style, allowing me to alter the space I am inhabiting.
The work I produce allows the viewer to get a glimpse of the way I view landscapes by enhancing the overlooked details. This includes the use of clay and taking textures, in addition to using raw materials found on site. The display of something out of the ordinary such as a clay texture can change a space, allowing it to be viewed in a different light, or to be appreciated for what it is, a replication of beauty.
