Old Tools, New Projects

Information

Old Tools, New Projects is a photographic book that explores at the idea of retirement and what some people do with their spare time once they have retired through social documentary photography. It does this by looking at the Wellington MENZSHED, a group of individuals that builds and repairs objects for themselves and others within the community. The photographs focus on the members of the group, the tools they use, the building itself and the projects that they build, to create an understanding of what it is like within the shed on a normal day.
