Hi, How Can I Help You? is a collection inspired by my own experiences as a waiter and how the uniform I wore evoked mixed feelings within me. The first look is a literal representation of the traditional aesthetic of a hospitality worker, and I then work through the collection exaggerating shape and using bold colour to establish a sense of individuality within each look. The collection aims to show how the overall performance of a person wearing a uniform, along with the contextual history that uniforms exist within, can create an odd relationship between the cloth and the individual. I am a Fashion Designer who seeks to expand on the feelings that clothing can evoke in people. Through this collection I have been able to explore my own dichotomous relationship with uniform; as well as giving others the opportunity to explore how they feel when wearing uniforms.
