‘It’s In The Detail’ is an elegant collection of informal bridal garments designed for New Zealand brides. With changing views on traditional commitment celebrations comes an opportunity for change in the style of bridal wear. This collection embraces the individuality of New Zealand brides. I am a designer who respects tradition, but aspires to design contemporary pieces for twenty-first century weddings. The use of soft flowing fabrics alongside unstructured silhouettes allows the bride to feel relaxed and beautiful on her special day. Embellishment, colour and texture, enables my designs to unite both old and new styles, allowing for simplistic, detailed and modern garments to be created.
