Video games are very immersive. Its easy to spend hours in one position, which is detrimental to our health. My aim with this project was to interrupt a gamers sedentary behaviour without interrupting their game. I used an iterative process to develop characters, aesthetic and user interface design in making Livewire. This mobile-based game is designed as a multiplayer game which uses the same gambling tactics that make video games so addictive and utilises a wireless pad which is placed on the users chair. The aim of the game is simple; dont get shocked. You can charge your characters power with the pedometer on your phone and send shocks to your friends. Avoid getting shocked yourself by standing up at the right time. The only way to reset the pad is to stand up. Sedentary hours successfully interrupted.
