Seeing Music is a personal exploration through the use of audio, music making, and video. A quote by Stevie Wonder is the major influence on my project. He uses the words "...every experience creates something..." My take on this was to choose three distinct locations as my experiences, which offer an inside atmosphere, a busy urban setting and a serene natural environment. From these locations, audio was recorded and usable sections were taken and made into three beats using the app Garage Band. Video footage of these experiences was filmed, which helps achieve the objective. Each video has been distorted by a beat and an effect from within Adobe After Effects called Card Dance. The goal of the distortion was not limited in showing that music is everywhere, but that it provides a fount of creativity that is new and diverse.
