New Zealand, we have a problem. We are living in an epidemic of depression. One in four New Zealanders are affected by depression. That statistic is based on people who have come forward about it. Is this only the tip of the iceberg? How many others struggle in silence? How many watch loved one’s struggle and don’t know how to help? These are the questions that drive our mission to create an interactive exhibit around depression. Our project goal is to use music to de-stigmatize and reduce the discrimination around depression. We want to encourage others to get closer to each other, to stop, to talk, to listen.
