Exploring the impacts Climate Change is having on our world, ‘Subject to Change’ is a collection of interviews and personal stories from across the Pacific in the form of a documentary film. The film provides an insight into both, the New Zealand response to the global objectives set by the Paris Agreement, and the intimate true stories from less well-known places like the Island of Batiki in Fiji. My chief contribution to this project was as technical advisor to the director and DoP. In this capacity I helped to determine what equipment would be needed for the filming of the project; and how best to transport and deploy those assets in the field. I also worked as the project’s documentarian, and as a specialized cinematographer handling all non-standard filming (excluding drone work) as the crew’s only Steadicam operator and underwater cinematographer.
